Diamond Shapes

The diamond world it's very fascinating and tricky at the same time so I decided to give you a little bit of diamond education through out this month.

We start with the Round shape

The round brilliant cut diamond is by far the most popular and most researched diamond shape available today since gives the best top shine. For almost 100 years, diamond cutters have been using advanced theories of light behaviour and precise mathematical calculations to optimise the fire and brilliance in a round diamond. In addition to being the most popular and researched shape, a round diamond will typically give you more flexibility in terms of balancing cut, colour, and clarity grades while still getting the fire and brilliance you want.

And to finish a little tip the 4 C's

  • Color
  • Cut
  • Clarity
  • Carat weight
For now let's talk about the colour

According to the GIA colour grading scale there are also 4 types:

  • colourless
  • near colourless
  • faint yellow
  • very light yellow
  • light yellow

Now start wondering what kind is yours?

Here is my favourite engagement ring from my collection and the diamonds are round shape. The quality is decided by the client according to their budget.

If you have any inquiries or need help I am here from the land of down under!
